Slash Emcees received a major boost when the group attended the Hennessy VSOP Cipher, 2018. Two members advanced to subsequent stages of the event, with ELTCor making it to the final round.. ELETCor at the red carpet

Sharing their experiences with, they expressed satisfaction with their performances and delight in meeting other notable acts like Terry the Rapman, Vector the Viper and Phlowetry. They agreed that the OAP from Beat FM, Jimmie,was uniquely clad.

‘The Hennessy VSOP Cipher has really provided a stepping stone for a lot of MCs, with the recognition and encouragement it provides’ says Sagacious (Samuel Mallan). ‘It’s a great platform for the rap industry’ he adds. ‘Never stop, never settle (smiles)’.

The same props was given by ELTCor (Emmanuel Luka) to organisers of the event. ‘Being among those that made it to the finals in Abuja was a great experience. We came to have fun and it was all love. Peace to all’ as he cosigns the slogan.

Slash Emcees is a Hiphop quartet based in Bukuru, Jos South, Nigeria. They are signed to M.O.S.S. The label issued a statement to commend Hennessy for extending the cipher to other cities and expressed optimism of working with the premium brand. The event was staged at the Indigo, Sheraton Hotel, Abuja.

SE recently released a cover for ‘Get away’ in memory of Prodigy. Their last major project was a mixtape titled ‘Mouthpiece of the Ghetto’ while a series of projects are expected from them in the coming months.
