Album: EXITECHNO Album by FKA MASH

FKA twigs returns with EXITECHNO, her long-awaited ninth studio album set to drop in 2026. This highly anticipated release blends experimental electronic soundscapes with soulful vocals, showcasing the artist’s signature fusion of avant-garde production and emotive depth. With 13 tracks spanning introspective and high-energy moments, EXITECHNO promises to push boundaries while staying true to twigs’ signature style. The album features a mix of original compositions and collaborations, including standout features with artists like OKAY GOD, Thando Jide, and Tahir Jones.

The tracklist hints at a bold sonic journey, opening with the hypnotic "Ngwaneshu" (ft. OKAY GOD) and "Mampatile" (ft. Thando Jide), both of which blend tribal rhythms with modern electronic textures. Standout moments include the dreamy "Every Waking Day," the funk-infused "Disco Bouncer" (ft. Fatso 98), and the introspective "Nights Alone" (ft. LVN). Each song balances twigs’ ethereal voice with innovative production, creating a cohesive yet diverse listening experience.

EXITECHNO also highlights a series of intimate, stripped-down tracks like "So Scared" and "Love In The Air" (ft. Biishop), offering a contrast to the album’s more experimental cuts. Collaborations with Felix’N on "Feel Redux" and Dave DK on "No Walls" further expand the project’s sonic palette, weaving in elements of house, techno, and ambient sound design. The album’s structure suggests a narrative arc, evolving from introspective beginnings to bold, genre-defying closer "Been So."

Fans of twigs’ previous work will recognize her fearless approach to blending artistry with innovation, making EXITECHNO a must-listen for those drawn to cutting-edge electronic music. With its bold production and emotional resonance, the album is poised to solidify twigs’ reputation as a visionary in contemporary music. Keep an eye out for its 2026 release—this is one project to watch closely.
