Music: So Scared by FKA MASH

FKA twigs’ latest project, EXITECHNO, is a bold leap into electronic territory, and the album’s closing track, “So Scared,” delivers a hauntingly hypnotic finale. As the tenth and final song on the release, it blends raw vulnerability with pulsing synths, offering a stark contrast to the album’s more experimental moments. The track’s eerie atmosphere is instantly gripping, with FKA twigs’ voice weaving through layered beats that shift between tension and release.

The production on “So Scared” leans into a darker, more introspective sound, where the lyrics feel like a whispered confession amid the music’s rhythmic pulse. While EXITECHNO explores futuristic textures and avant-garde influences, this track grounds the album in something more intimate—a moment of quiet terror that lingers long after the last note fades. It’s a testament to FKA twigs’ ability to merge emotional depth with cutting-edge soundscapes.

With its release slated for 2026, EXITECHNO pushes boundaries in electronic music, and “So Scared” stands as a standout moment in that evolution. The track’s ability to balance unease with beauty makes it a standout closer, ensuring listeners leave the album with its unsettling yet mesmerizing energy still echoing in their minds.
